Local 5 Is A New Restaurant In Cuenca

Tonight we tried the newly opened restaurant, Local 5.  The owners are expats and live in our building.  Ed stopped there the other day and enjoyed a nice lunch.

It is located at Avenu Ordonez Lasso, Pinar 3.  It is a small place that is situated in a long type of strip shopping center.  Their main seating area in under a canopy with a large standing heater when the weather requires it.  The weather was perfect this evening.

They start you off with your drink of choice, they do have a full bar and a nice selection of beers.  Ed's choice was their tall Belgian Ale and I had the local Pilsner.  These came with their dark roasted peanuts.

We each had a chicken dish; Ed had their Burrito El Gordo and I had the quesadilla.  Their home made salsa and guacamole are both excellent.

Both our meals were excellent and very large portions, ladies you could share either dish.  A lovely evening of dining and good conversation.  We both waddled across the street to our condo.
